Because SAA1 concentrations can surge over 1,000-fold during acute inflammatory episodes, researchers need an assay calibrated for both baseline monitoring and dynamic response tracking.
Detection Range: The 2.344–150 ng/mL range captures SAA1 levels typically found in healthy individuals (low µg/mL in serum) after appropriate dilution, while accommodating the dramatic elevations seen during acute coronary events or systemic inflammation. Most serum samples will require dilution; urine and saliva samples may fall closer to the native range.
Sensitivity: At 0.586 ng/mL, the kit detects SAA1 in low-abundance matrices such as saliva and urine, where concentrations are substantially lower than serum, enabling non-invasive biomarker studies.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, urine, and saliva allows researchers to pair standard serum-based cardiovascular risk profiling with non-invasive longitudinal sampling — critical for patient compliance in repeated-measures clinical designs.
