Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human HGF in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of human Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) in research samples, supporting studies where HGF signaling drives tumor progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. Because HGF is secreted by stromal cells and acts in a paracrine manner on MET-expressing tumor cells, researchers need to measure it across both the tumor microenvironment and circulation within a single study.
Detection Range: The 47–3000 pg/mL range spans baseline circulating HGF levels in healthy individuals (~200–800 pg/mL) through the elevated concentrations (often >1000 pg/mL) reported in patients with advanced hepatocellular, lung, or gastric carcinomas, minimizing the need for sample dilution in most serum and plasma experiments.
Sensitivity: At 11.75 pg/mL, the kit detects HGF in conditioned media from low-density fibroblast or stellate cell cultures where paracrine HGF secretion may be minimal, enabling co-culture and stromal interaction studies.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatants allows direct comparison of systemic HGF levels with local production within tumor tissue and in vitro MET-activation models—critical for dissecting paracrine versus endocrine HGF signaling.
Assay Efficiency: A 1–5 hour protocol requiring only 50–100 µL accommodates limited biopsy-derived homogenates and serial plasma draws from longitudinal patient cohorts without exhausting precious specimens.
This kit is well-suited for investigating MET-driven drug resistance mechanisms, tumor-stroma crosstalk, and HGF as a circulating biomarker in solid tumor progression.
