Because MMP3 concentrations can vary dramatically between baseline circulation and active tumor microenvironment secretion, this kit is designed to capture that full dynamic range across both systemic and tissue-level sampling.
Detection Range: The 31.25–2000 pg/mL range spans reported circulating MMP3 levels in healthy individuals through the elevated concentrations observed in patients with invasive carcinomas. Most serum samples can be assayed neat or with minimal dilution, while tissue homogenates from MMP3-rich tumor stroma may require predilution to fall within range.
Sensitivity: At 15.6 pg/mL, the kit detects MMP3 in low-abundance settings such as early-stage tumor serum samples or conditioned media from epithelial cells undergoing epithelial-mesenchymal transition, where MMP3 upregulation may be subtle.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates (50–100 µL) enables paired designs comparing circulating MMP3 with local expression in resected tumor and adjacent normal tissue, critical for correlating systemic biomarker levels with stromal protease activity.
Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and low sample volume accommodate high-throughput screening of clinical cohorts and conserve limited biopsy-derived homogenates.
