Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse Kim-1 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of HAVCR1 (TIM-1/KIM-1) in mouse samples, supporting research in microbiology and immune regulation where TIM-1 serves as a critical receptor for hepatitis A virus and a sensitive biomarker of kidney injury. Because soluble KIM-1 is shed from injured renal tubular epithelial cells and activated T cells at extremely low concentrations, detecting meaningful changes requires both exceptional sensitivity and appropriate sample type coverage.
Detection Range: The 0.78–50 pg/ml range captures the trace-level soluble KIM-1 typically found in mouse urine and plasma under both baseline and early injury conditions, minimizing the need for sample concentration while allowing detection of modest elevations seen in nephrotoxicity or viral challenge models.
Sensitivity: At 0.195 pg/ml, this kit detects the sub-picogram KIM-1 levels present in conditioned media from primary tubular epithelial cells or in urine from mice at pre-symptomatic stages of renal damage, where KIM-1 upregulation precedes conventional injury markers.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, urine, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatants enables researchers to correlate circulating soluble TIM-1 with localized renal or hepatic expression and in vitro T-cell activation studies within a single experimental framework.
Assay Efficiency: Requiring only 50–100 µl per well and 1–5 hours to complete, the kit accommodates the limited sample volumes typical of serial mouse urine collections and small-volume bleeds from longitudinal infection studies.
This kit is particularly suited for investigating acute kidney injury biomarker kinetics, hepatitis A virus receptor biology, and TIM-1-mediated Th2 immune polarization in murine models.
