Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description

SERPINB2 functions as a critical serine protease inhibitor that regulates fibrinolysis by directly neutralizing urokinase and tissue-type plasminogen activator, making it central to studies of thrombotic regulation and tumor microenvironment biology. This tag-free, full-length recombinant human SERPINB2 (residues 1–415) achieves half-maximal inhibition of single-chain tPA (1.0 μg/ml) at a concentration of 1.0 μg/ml in imidazole buffer at 37 °C, providing a quantitative benchmark suitable for inhibitor screening, IC50 determination, and kinetic parameter analysis including Ki and mechanism-of-inhibition studies. The absence of any fusion tag ensures the reactive center loop remains unobstructed, supporting accurate substrate specificity profiling and use as a positive control in enzyme-linked functional assays. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for precise kinetic measurements and aligns with standards expected in cell-based fibrinolysis assays.
