Description

The IL6 monoclonal antibody is generated by immunizing mice with the recombinant human IL6 protein, followed by isolation of the spleen B cells from the immunized mice. These B cells are then fused with myeloma cells to form hybridomas. The hybridomas producing the IL6 monoclonal antibody are then selected and cultured, with the monoclonal antibody being purified from the mouse ascites using protein G affinity chromatography. Its purity is greater than 95%. This antibody specifically binds to human IL6 protein and can be used for ELISA and IHC.

IL6 has a wide range of functions, including the stimulation of the immune response, the induction of acute-phase proteins, and the regulation of hematopoiesis. It also has a role in the regulation of glucose metabolism and is involved in the pathogenesis of various diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple myeloma, and cancer.
