Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

CD5 plays a critical role in T-cell activation and immune synapse formation, making it a key target for understanding lymphocyte signaling and developing immunotherapies for T-cell malignancies. This recombinant fragment spans residues 25–372, covering the extracellular scavenger receptor cysteine-rich domains that mediate ligand interactions, and demonstrates robust binding activity with an EC50 of 0.96–1.17 ng/mL against an anti-CD5 antibody in functional ELISA. The quantified binding kinetics provide a validated basis for antibody development and validation workflows, including epitope mapping and affinity maturation studies. Expressed in mammalian cells with a C-terminal 10×His tag, the protein achieves greater than 90% purity and maintains endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, meeting the quality thresholds commonly required for cell-based assays investigating T-cell adhesion, immune cell trafficking, and receptor-ligand interactions in cancer immunology research.
