Uteroglobin (Scgb1a1) plays a central role in modulating inflammation and phospholipid binding in airway epithelial biology, making it a valuable tool for immunology-focused cell adhesion and functional studies. This tag-free recombinant rat protein, covering residues 20–96 of the mature sequence, demonstrates an ED50 of less than 5.0 μg/ml in an A549 lung carcinoma cell adhesion assay, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 200 IU/mg.
