Description
N polyclonal antibody CSB-PA318401LA01LNP was produced in the rabbit immunized by using the Recombinant Lassa virus Nucleoprotein protein (1-569AA) as the immunogen. The target protein N encapsidates the genome, protecting it from nucleases. The encapsidated genomic RNA is termed the nucleocapsid (NC). This protein serves as template for viral transcription and replication. The increased presence of protein N in host cell does not seem to trigger the switch from transcription to replication as observed in other negative strain RNA viruses.
This Rabbit anti-Lassa virus N Polyclonal antibody was tested in the ELISA. The non-conjugated IgG got purified by protein G and reached up to 95% in purity. It reacts with the N proteins of lassa virus-origin and may be used to detect the endogenous levels of N protein.
