To produce the gag polyclonal antibody, a rabbit is immunized with recombinant Avian leukosis virus RSA gag protein (amino acids 489-577), resulting in the production of antibodies targeting this antigen. A booster antigen injection enhances antibody production, and serum containing gag polyclonal antibodies is collected and purified through affinity chromatography. The gag antibody's specific recognition of Avian leukosis virus RSA gag protein has been confirmed through ELISA and WB assays.
The Avian Leukosis Virus (ALV) RSA gag protein plays a crucial role in the life cycle of the virus, including capsid formation, viral RNA packaging, facilitation of budding and release of new virus particles, and assembly of virus-like particles.
