Description

Explore the potential of dairy protein research with our recombinant bovine CSN2, a high-quality beta-casein protein sourced from Bos taurus (bovine) species. As an essential component of milk and a vital player in signal transduction pathways, beta-casein offers a valuable foundation for various research applications.

This full-length mature protein spans the expression region of 16-224aa and is produced in E.coli to ensure the highest level of purity and reliability. The N-terminal 10xHis and C-terminal Myc tags facilitate convenient purification and detection processes, while maintaining the protein's biological activity. With a purity of greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE, our lyophilized powder format enables easy storage and reconstitution for your research needs.

Target Background

Function
Important role in determination of the surface properties of the casein micelles.; Casoparan acts as a macrophage activator, increasing the phagocytic activity of macrophages and peroxide release from macrophages. It also acts as a bradykinin-potentiating peptide.; Casohypotensin acts as a bradykinin-potentiating peptide. Induces hypotension in rats. Acts as a strong competitive inhibitor of endo-oligopeptidase A.; Antioxidant peptide has antioxidant activity.
Subcellular Location
Secreted.
Protein Families
Beta-casein family
Tissue Specificity
Mammary gland specific. Secreted in milk.
