CSN2

CSN2, full name casein beta, also known as β-casein. It is a milk protein synthesized by mammary epithelial cells, providing nutrition for infants and playing roles in immune regulation, antibacterial activity and intestinal protection. Abnormal CSN2 expression correlates with breast diseases, including mammary hypoplasia, mastitis and breast cancer. Research on CSN2 focuses on diagnosis and prognosis of breast diseases, with targeted modulators in preclinical exploration.
