Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Cleaves collagens of types I, II, and III at one site in the helical domain. Also cleaves collagens of types VII and X.
Gene References into Functions
  1. BoHV-4 infection affects various pathways related to cell proliferation and cell surface integrity, at least three of which were centered on upregulation of matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1). MMP1 transcription was upregulated by the BoHV-4 transactivator IE2/RTA, leading to abnormally high metalloproteinase tissue levels, potentially leading to defective endometrium healing and unresolved inflammation. PMID: 27281703
  2. The expression patterns of MMP1, MMP2, and MMP8 were explored during fetal and postnatal development of longissimus dorsi muscle in cattle, and the relationships of MMP1, MMP2, and MMP8 expression levels with meat quality traits were analyzed in cattle. The expression of MMP1, MMP2, and MMP8 were also tested in four kinds of fat tissues and three kinds of skeletal muscle tissues. PMID: 26985938
  3. Data suggest that luteolytic factors (such as interferon gamma, tumor necrosis factor alpha, and PGF2a) control expression of MMP1, other matrix metalloproteinases, and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase in cultured luteal cells. PMID: 25924700
  4. The results showed that a decrease in MMP-1 and MMP-2 gene expression is accompanied with a decrease in NO concentrations in infertile cows affected with ovarian cysts. PMID: 25496672
  5. Cytoskeletal tension modulates MMP-1 gene expression from tenocytes on micropillar substrates. PMID: 23415423
  6. MMP-1 promotes VEGFR2 expression and proliferation of endothelial cells through stimulation of PAR-1 and activation of NF-kappaB PMID: 23155052
  7. These data identify atypical PKC isozymes as STAT and ERK activators that mediate c-fos and collagenase expression. PMID: 20463008
  8. the differential expression and localization of membrane-type 1 matrix metalloproteinase in the corpus luteum suggest that it may have multiple functions throughout the course of the estrous cycle, including activation of pro-MMP-2 PMID: 12080004
  9. increased in bovine preovulatory follicles following the gonadotropin surge but no up-regulation of MMP-1 and MMP-13 (follicular apex vs. base) for the preovulatory collagenolysis required for follicle rupture PMID: 15115716
  10. identification of MT1-MMP in odontoclasts during deciduous tooth resorption might be relevant to the migration activity that these cells have to gain access to the root surface PMID: 17072736
  11. MT1-MMP has a role in signaling events mediating EGFR transactivation PMID: 17541067
  12. IL-4 and IL-13 affect airway smooth muscle (SM) gel contraction via a phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase mediated endogenous production of MMP-1 that alters the interaction between SM cells and collagen fibers. PMID: 18322231
  13. In cervix, MMP1 is only active during the final cervical ripening process at parturition. PMID: 18361420
