Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Plays an important role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, and cell differentiation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Pharmacological inhibition of FGF signaling or a mutation in the fgf3 gene can compensate the gain of caudal hypothalamic dopaminergic neurons in cnot8m1061 mutants, indicating a role for Fgf3 in control of development of this dopaminergic population PMID: 25478689
  2. Fgf10b participates in a late phase of otic induction and, in combination with fgf3, is especially critical for epibranchial induction. PMID: 24677486
  3. Fgf3 and Fgf10a work in concert to promote maturation of the epibranchial placodes in zebrafish. PMID: 24358375
  4. Myogenic factor (Myf)5 modulates craniofacial cartilage development through the fgf3 signaling pathway. PMID: 23992145
  5. Data indicate that foxi1 is expressed in branchial arch ectoderm and endoderm, and morpholino knock-down of foxi1 causes apoptosis of neural crest in the branchial arches, which is rescued by fgf3. PMID: 24650709
  6. Fgf10 and Fgf3 secreted from the forming neurohypophysis exert direct guidance effects on hypothalamic neurosecretory axons. PMID: 23404108
  7. In lia(-/-) (fgf3(-/-)) mutants, anterior otic character is reduced, but not lost altogether. PMID: 21831919
  8. Requirement for endoderm and FGF3 in ventral head skeleton formation PMID: 12223404
  9. Results show that fibroblast growth factor 3 signaling from the ventral diencephalon is required to induce the expression of lim3, pit1 and other pituitary-specific genes in the underlying adenohypophyseal progenitor cells. PMID: 15229178
  10. Results suggest that Fgf3 is a major endodermal determinant required for epibranchial placode neurogenesis. PMID: 16077091
  11. fgf3 can act as otic inducers PMID: 17239227
  12. The FGF3 signal delineates the melanotrope and corticotrope lineage boundary, contributing to establishment of the pituitary pars distalis and pars intermedia. PMID: 18514643
  13. rosettes form cyclically from a progenitor pool at the leading zone of the posterior lateral line primordium as neuromasts are deposited from trailing region; fgf3/10 signals localized to leading zone required for rosette formation & primordium migration PMID: 18583612
  14. morphogenetic tissue rearrangements during eye evagination result in progenitor cells in the nasal half of the retina primordium being brought into proximity to the sources of three fibroblast growth factors, Fgf8/3/24, outside the eye. PMID: 19823566
