Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description
Recombinant Human DDB1- and CUL4-associated factor 16(DCAF16) is a full length protein expressed with N-terminal 10xHis-tagged and C-terminal Myc-tagged in the E.coli. Its expression region corresponds to 1-216aa of human DCAF16 protein. Its purity was determined by SDS-PAGE and reached up to 85%. Under reducing conditions, a molecular weight band of around 35 kDa was visualized on the gel. Furthermore, this protein underwent validation via the LC-MS/MS analysis. This recombinant DCAF16 protein may be used to synthesize antibodies against DCAF16 or on the studies of DCAF16-associated signal transduction.
DCAF16 is a gene on chromosome 4p15.31 that encodes a protein thought to function as a substrate recognition component for CUL4-DDB1 E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, which mediates ubiquitination and proteasome-dependent degradation of nuclear proteins. This protein is involved in the pathway protein ubiquitination, which is part of protein modification.

I have purchased CSB-EP865168HU, 2.5MG.
The lot is 03789. Our PO is 4100021720.
There is MW: 24193 Da in page of Uniprot ID#Q9NXF7.

According to the CoA, the Predicted band size is 31.2 KDa but the Observed band size is 36 KDa.
Why did it make the difference?
They think there isn't cause such big difference of around 5 kDa by the MW of N-terminal 10xHis-tagged and C-terminal Myc-tagged.

MW of the target protein (not include the tag): 24193 Da
MW of the tag (N-terminal 10xHis-tagged and C-terminal Myc-tagged): 7 kDa
So the theoretical Mw of the fusion protein is about 31.2kDa
The actual observed Mw (around 36kDa) is larger than the theoretical Mw (around 31.2kDa).
The explanation is list as follows:
This protein itself is an acidic protein with an isoelectric point of 5.71. According to our experience, the SDS-PAGE detection result of acidic protein will generally be larger than the theoretical Mw
(possibly due to the fact that the acidic protein itself bears a negative charge and it binds less SDS).
We already explained this Mw difference in the COA like this:
Observed band size: 36 kDa
The reducing (R) protein migrates as 36 kDa in SDS-PAGE may be due to relative charge.
