Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description

In the general process of expressing the recombinant Human CRMP1 protein, a plasmid encoding the Human CRMP1 protein (1-572aa) is constructed first. The plasmid is transferred into e.coli cells, from which cells containing the plasmid are selected and cultured to express the protein. A N-terminal 6xHis-SUMO tag is fused to the protein. The recombinant Human CRMP1 protein undergoes affinity purification purification and SDS-PAGE analysis. This protein surpasses a purity level of 90%.

Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance. During the axon guidance process, acts downstream of SEMA3A to promote FLNA dissociation from F-actin which results in the rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton and the collapse of the growth cone. Involved in invasive growth and cell migration. May participate in cytokinesis.
