Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description

MICA functions as a stress-induced ligand for the activating NKG2D receptor on NK cells and CD8+ T cells, making it a critical node in tumor immunosurveillance and autoimmune pathology. This mammalian-expressed construct spanning residues 24–309 captures the complete extracellular domain, preserving the native glycosylation and disulfide architecture required for physiological NKG2D engagement. Functional ELISA validation demonstrates robust antibody binding with an EC50 of 0.9163–1.108 ng/mL, confirming that the folded protein retains conformational epitopes and supports applications including therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, competitive inhibition screening for NKG2D-blocking biologics, and SPR-based affinity characterization of MICA-targeting drug candidates. The combination of >95% purity and <1.0 EU/μg endotoxin meets the quality thresholds commonly required for ligand-receptor interaction assays and immune checkpoint research where low endotoxin is essential to avoid confounding NK cell activation.
