The recombinant Human TXNDC17 was expressed with the amino acid range of 1-123. This TXNDC17 protein is theoretically predicted to have a molecular weight of 40.9 kDa. The TXNDC17 protein was expressed in e.coli. The N-terminal GST tag was smoothly integrated into the coding gene of TXNDC17, which enables a simple process of detecting and purifying the TXNDC17 recombinant protein in the following steps.
Thioredoxin domain-containing protein 17 (TXNDC17), also known as TRP14, is a highly conserved and ubiquitously expressed oxidoreductase. It is involved in maintaining cellular redox homeostasis via a thiol-disulfide reductase activity. TXNDC17 is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), where it participates in disulfide bond formation and is involved in the folding of newly synthesized proteins. Redox regulation within the ER is essential for the proper maturation of proteins that undergo post-translational modifications, including disulfide bond formation, before being transported to their final destinations within or outside the cell. There are currently no reviews for this product.
