TNFSF13B (BAFF) regulates B-cell survival and maturation through TNFRSF13B (TACI) and related receptors, making it a critical target in autoimmunity and B-cell malignancy research. This cynomolgus macaque ortholog, spanning residues 141–285 of the mature extracellular domain, demonstrates robust receptor engagement with an EC50 of 7.3–13.8 ng/mL in functional ELISA against immobilized TNFRSF13B, providing a quantitative benchmark for dose selection in B-cell proliferation assays, NF-κB activation studies, and antibody class-switching experiments. The endotoxin level below 1.0 EU/μg prevents LPS-driven artifacts in primary B-cell and PBMC cultures, where even trace contamination can confound cytokine-specific responses. Purity exceeding 90% by SDS-PAGE, combined with the validated receptor-binding activity, supports use as a positive control in ELISA-based cytokine detection platforms and as a reference standard for evaluating anti-BAFF therapeutic candidates in preclinical cynomolgus models of lupus or lymphoma.
