Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. Participates in pH regulation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Authors demonstrate that CAIX associates with MMP14 through potential phosphorylation residues within its intracellular domain, and that CAIX enhances MMP14-mediated collagen degradation by directly contributing hydrogen ions required for MMP14 catalytic activity. PMID: 28692057
  2. Loss of Function Screening Reveals Carbonic Anhydrase IX as a Key Modulator of Tumor Initiating Potential in Primary Pancreatic Tumors. PMID: 26152355
  3. constitutive activation of the NF-kappaB pathway in CAIX-depleted cells restored G-CSF secretion PMID: 25623234
  4. Downregulation of carbonic anhydrase IX promotes Col10a1 expression in chondrocytes. PMID: 23441228
  5. CA IX may directly or indirectly play novel functions in brain tissue. PMID: 21547424
  6. about half the CA-dependent muscular lactate flux occurs across the surface membrane, while the other half occurs across the membranes of the T tubuli PMID: 21179203
  7. Data show that CA9, GLUT1 and LOX mRNA levels were equally and strongly correlated to hypoxic extent in FaDudd, and the same profile was observed for CA9 and GLUT1, but not LOX, in SCCVII tumors. PMID: 21306648
  8. a novel role for CA IX in the regulation of immunologic processes and digestion PMID: 20573196
  9. although CA IX-deficiency is not a tumor-promoting factor per se, it induces glandular atrophy in the body mucosa, a lesion which is considered to be a preneoplastic alteration in the stomach PMID: 16245156
  10. These results suggest that the loss of function of cytosolic CA II in the stomach of Car2-/- mice leads to up-regulation of an extracellular CA, namely CA IX, which is expressed on the cell surface of the gastric epithelium. PMID: 16396925
  11. CA9 may regulate ion and pH homeostasis within the developing embryo. PMID: 16719910
  12. CA9 has chaperone-like functions and CA9 shed from tumors may play a direct role in stimulating an adaptive immune response PMID: 19074859
  13. that expression of CA9 is regulated through both the HIF-1 and unfolded protein response hypoxia response pathways in vitro and in vivo. PMID: 19564335
