Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Casein kinases are operationally defined by their preferential utilization of acidic proteins such as caseins as substrates. Can phosphorylate a large number of proteins. Participates in Wnt signaling. Phosphorylates CTNNB1 at 'Ser-45'. May phosphorylate PER1 and PER2. May play a role in segregating chromosomes during mitosis. May play a role in keratin cytoskeleton disassembly and thereby, it may regulate epithelial cell migration.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC), a precursor of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH), was not activated in the CK1alpha ablation-induced hyperpigmentation, which is in contrast to the mechanism of p53-dependent UV tanning. PMID: 28878021
  2. Interactome analyses revealed that the Jade-1S mutant unable to be phosphorylated by CK1alpha has an increased binding affinity to proteins involved in chromatin remodelling, histone deacetylation, transcriptional repression, and ribosome biogenesis. PMID: 26919559
  3. loss of one or two copies in the adipose lineage results in hyperglycaemia PMID: 25994086
  4. Phosphorylation of LRRK2 by casein kinase 1alpha regulates trans-Golgi clustering via differential interaction with ARHGEF7. PMID: 25500533
  5. Phosphorylation of FADD by the kinase CK1alpha promotes KRASG12D-induced lung cancer. PMID: 25628462
  6. Csnk1a1 knockdown results in decreased Rps6 phosphorylation, increased p53 activity, and myeloid differentiation. PMID: 24616378
  7. study for the first time demonstrates that CK1alpha is required for chromosome alignment and segregation during oocyte meiotic maturation and early embryo development PMID: 23690993
  8. Silencing or deleting the p53 gene demonstrated that genotoxic stress elicited Wnt signaling in a p53-independent manner. Instead, this response occurred through reduced abundance of Csnk1a1 (CK1alpha), a kinase that inhibits beta-catenin. PMID: 23354688
  9. maintenance of intestinal homeostasis in CKIalpha-deficient gut requires p53-mediated growth control, because the combined ablation of Csnk1a1 and either p53 or its target gene p21 triggered high-grade dysplasia with extensive proliferation PMID: 21331045
  10. Casein kinase I and casein kinase II differentially regulate axin function PMID: 11884395
  11. CK1alpha-mediated phosphorylation modulates the mRNA binding ability of hnRNP-C PMID: 15687492
  12. CK1 regulates fast synaptic transmission by glutamate in brain. Activation of CK1 decreases NMDA receptor activity in the striatum via activation by this kinase of protein phosphatase 1 &/or 2A & increased dephosphorylation of NMDA receptors. PMID: 16014721
  13. Casein kinase 1 alpha, a relevant double minute 2 (MDMX)-binding protein, plays an important role in regulating p53 activity in the absence or presence of stress. PMID: 16024788
