Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May play a role in growth regulation. Is associated with G2/M phase arrest in response to DNA damage. May be an intermediate by which p53 mediates its role as an inhibitor of cellular proliferation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Single or double knockout mice deficient in CycG1 or CycG2, or both showed that all developed normally and were fertile. Generation of mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) from these mice revealed that neither G1KO nor DKO MEFs, were resistant to DNA damage insults caused by camptothecin and ionizing radiation and underwent cell cycle arrest. PMID: 27982046
  2. following ablation of G1 cyclins, embryonic stem (ES) cells attenuated their pluripotent characteristics, with the majority of cells acquiring the trophectodermal cell fate. PMID: 28192421
  3. Progesterone-induced cyclin G1 mediates the inhibitory effect of progesterone on endometrial epithelial cell proliferation. PMID: 25007270
  4. The expression of Cyclin G1 in mouse ovary is in spatiotemporal pattern. PMID: 17236588
  5. CyclinG1 is an important player for the regulation of polyploidy and multinucleation in cardiomyocytes probably by inhibition of apoptosis caused by checkpoint activation. PMID: 20360255
  6. Cyclin G recruits PP2A in order to modulate the phosphorylation of Mdm2 and thereby to regulate both Mdm2 and p53. PMID: 11983168
  7. association with MDM2 and regulation of accumulation and degradation of p53 protein PMID: 12167164
  8. Decrease in tumor incidence, mass, and malignancy in cyclin G1-null mice after treatment with hepatocarcinogen N-diethylnitrosamine. Cyclin G1 with Mdm2 are part of negative feedback attenuating the activity of p53. PMID: 12668979
  9. cyclin G1 and cyclin G2 genes are differentially regulated in the periimplantation uterus in a spatiotemporal manner; results suggest cyclin G1 and cyclin G2 genes act as downstream targets of homeobox A-10 and negatively impact uterine cell proliferation PMID: 15661853
  10. the cyclin box has a role in the proteasome-mediated degradation of cyclin G1 PMID: 18632610
  11. The B'alpha1 subunit of the serine/threonine protein phosphatase 2A, which binds to cyclin G1, can stabilize cyclin G1 under unstressed conditions and upon DNA damage, as well as inhibit the ability of cyclin G1 to be ubiquitinated. PMID: 18981217
