Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

Empower your cell biology research with our Recombinant Mouse Gfral, known as GDNF family receptor alpha-like. Produced in mammalian cells, this protein is a pivotal player in the study of cellular growth, differentiation, and survival.

Our Gfral covers a partial length (20-349aa) and is expressed with a dual tag - N-terminal 10xHis-tag and C-terminal Myc-tag, assuring streamlined purification and enhanced stability. With an exceptional purity of over 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels of less than 1.0 EU/ug, our Recombinant Mouse Gfral adheres to the most stringent scientific standards. Notably, its binding ability has been confirmed in a functional ELISA, demonstrating its interaction with Mouse Gdf15. This product is supplied as a lyophilized powder for extended stability and convenience in your research workflow.

Applications : Drug related studies

Review: I used CSB-MP750964MO1 product for a functional ELISA experiment, EC50 was 4.701-10.78 ng/ml, and the protein had complete biological activity. The lyophilized powder I bought dissolved well according to the instructions. The protein has stable properties and high purity, and the subsequent experiments are smooth! We will continue to purchase in large quantities!

Target Background

Function
Brainstem-restricted receptor for GDF15 which regulates food intake, energy expenditure and body weight in response to metabolic and toxin-induced stresses. Upon interaction with its ligand, GDF15, interacts with RET and induces cellular signaling through activation of MAPK- and AKT- signaling pathways.
Gene References into Functions
  1. isolating GFRAL as the receptor for GDF15-induced anorexia and weight loss, the identification of a mechanistic basis for the non-homeostatic regulation of neural circuitry by a peripheral signal associated with tissue damage and stress; findings provide opportunities to develop therapeutic agents for the treatment of disorders with altered energy demand PMID: 28953886
Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Single-pass membrane protein; Extracellular side.
Protein Families
GDNFR family
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in the brainstem, restricted to cells in the area postrema and the immediately adjacent region of the nucleus tractus solitarius.
