Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

Strengthen your developmental biology investigations with our Recombinant Mouse Lect2, also known as Leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin-2. This yeast-expressed protein plays an essential role in several biological pathways including cell migration, immune responses, and skeletal development.

Our Lect2 offers the full length of the mature protein (19-151aa), providing a complete perspective of its structure and function. The protein is expressed with a C-terminal 6xHis-Myc tag, aiding in efficient purification and robust stability. Our Recombinant Mouse Lect2 adheres to the strictest quality standards, with a purity of over 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Choose between liquid form for immediate use or lyophilized powder for convenient long-term storage, facilitating your research progression.

Target Background

Function
Has a neutrophil chemotactic activity. Also a positive regulator of chondrocyte proliferation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. This study demonstrates the rapid response of LECT2 preceding body weight alterations during weight cycling in mice. PMID: 27562717
  2. We found that treatment with LECT2 enhanced H. pylori killing and nitric oxide production in macrophages. In addition, DNA-binding activity and nuclear translocation of p65 were up-regulated by LECT2 treatment PMID: 27813598
  3. LECT2 is regulated by beta-catenin in HCC in both mice and men, but serum LECT2 reflects beta-catenin activity only in mice. Serum LECT2 could be a potential biomarker of HCC in patients. PMID: 24892551
  4. LECT2 improves protective immunity in bacterial sepsis, possibly as a result of enhanced macrophages functions via the CD209a receptor. PMID: 23254286
  5. Zinc stabilizes the LECT2 structure. PMID: 23352894
  6. Data suggest the involvement of LECT2 in the regulation of fatal SEA-induced toxicity in d-GalN-sensitized mice. PMID: 20805039
  7. Our results suggest that LECT2 regulates neuritic extension through microtubular morphallaxis through the control of katanin-P60 levels. PMID: 20463617
  8. Our results show that LECT2 regulates the extension of axons and dendrites and the expressions of NGF, BDNF and NT-3 during neuronal development. PMID: 19917270
  9. LECT2, which encodes a protein with chemotactic properties for human neutrophils, is a direct target gene of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling in the liver. PMID: 15239100
  10. Triggers the early events of liver regeneration with concomitant suppression of hepatocyte proliferation. PMID: 18000337
  11. LECT2 directly suppresses the development of collagen antibody induced arthritis PMID: 18240267
