LECT2

LECT2, short for Leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 2, is also known as ChM-II and LECT-2. It is a multifunctional protein with a role in immune regulation and inflammation. LECT2 binds to specific receptors, modulating cell signaling pathways. It is involved in the JAK - STAT and MAPK pathways, influencing cell proliferation and survival.
In terms of diseases, LECT2 is associated with renal amyloidosis, liver diseases, and some forms of cancer. Regarding drug development, researchers are exploring agents that can target LECT2 to regulate its function, aiming to treat related diseases. However, more studies are needed for clinical applications.

IHC image of CSB-PA012855LA01HU diluted at 1:400 and staining in paraffin-embedded human endometrial cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
