Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
GTP-binding protein that possesses intrinsic GTPase activity. Contributes to the polarizing activity of KRIT1 and CDH5 in the establishment and maintenance of correct endothelial cell polarity and vascular lumen. Required for the localization of phosphorylated PRKCZ, PARD3 and TIAM1 to the cell junction. Plays a role in the establishment of basal endothelial barrier function.
Gene References into Functions
  1. findings reveal key roles for the bidirectional synaptic expression of the Rap1b small GTPase and an associated local synaptic protein translation network in this process. PMID: 26844834
  2. Rap1b deficiency promoted the transcellular route of diapedesis through endothelial cell. Increased transcellular migration of Rap1b-deficient neutrophils in vitro was selectively mediated by enhanced PI3K-Akt activation and invadopodia-like protrusions. PMID: 25092872
  3. Rap1b in both smooth muscle and endothelium plays a key role in maintaining blood pressure by controlling normal vascular tone. PMID: 24790136
  4. two different activation mechanisms of Rap1b as well as novel functions of Rap1b in platelet secretion and in integrin alpha(IIb)beta(3) outside-in signaling. PMID: 21940635
  5. Rap1b-dependent VEGF-VEGFR2 activation is in part mediated via integrin alpha(v)beta(3). PMID: 21636859
  6. Upon activation, Rap1b colocalized with the scaffolding protein IQGAP1. PMID: 20733035
  7. Rap1b is oncogenic in the thyroid in ways linked to transduction of the cAMP mitogenic signal PMID: 15331589
  8. Data provide genetic evidence that Rap1b is involved in a common pathway of integrin activation, is required for normal hemostasis in vivo, and may be a clinically relevant antithrombotic therapy target. PMID: 15696195
  9. These studies provide evidence that Rap1b is required for normal angiogenesis and reveal a novel role of Rap1 in regulation of proangiogenic signaling in endothelial cells. PMID: 17993608
  10. Rap1b-mediated suppression of synaptic transmission enables plasticity in the cortico-amygdala pathway, which is required for fear learning with a moderately aversive unconditional stimulus. PMID: 18305243
  11. Rap1b-deficient B cells had impaired adhesion and reduced chemotaxis in vitro, and lessened homing to lymph nodes in vivo PMID: 18319399
  12. Rap1b is the dominant isoform in B cells and regulates cell proliferation, cell adhesion, T-dependent humoral responses, cell migration in B cells. PMID: 18714009
  13. Rap1b ameliorates glucose-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in renal tubular cells PMID: 18753253
  14. Rap1b is required for maximal GPVI-induced but not ADP-induced activation of alpha2beta1 in murine platelets. PMID: 19192113
