This recombinant M.tb esxB protein is an E.coli expressed protein (Full Length of Mature Protein) with N-terminal 6xHis tag and its purity is 90%+ determined by SDS-PAGE. esxB, also called CFP-10, is a Mycobacterium tuberculosis secreted antigen that contributes to viral virulence and pathogenicity. CFP-10 and ESAT-6 forms a 1:1 heterodimeric complex that plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of tuberculosis (TB). Amanda Welin et al. has shown that the ESAT-6/CFP-10 complex induces a transient release of Ca2+ from intracellular stores in human neutrophils. CFP-10 rather than ESAT-6 was responsible for triggering the Ca2+ response, in a pertussis toxin-sensitive manner, implying the participation of a GPCR.
