Buffer before Lyophilization

Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.

Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Notes

Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

I have a question about this project.
I have checked each sequence, and what is the exact product of actual sequence of OmpT?
Also, I would like to know why mutation is recommended, and what is the difference between each product?

Thanks for your inquiry. The product CSB-EP348292EOD is the exact product of actual sequence of OmpT.
We recommend the mutated sequence (CSB-EP348292EOD(M)) because its lead time is relatively short. And we have customer ordered this product before.
The customer who ordered this protein before requested these two sites mutation, probably he wants to make a research on about mutation influence on the protein, the research is about avoiding the automatic hydrolysis of protein. The only difference is the remarked two sites exchange.

Target Background

Function

Protease that can cleave T7 RNA polymerase, ferric enterobactin receptor protein (FEP), antimicrobial peptide protamine and other proteins. This protease has a specificity for paired basic residues.

The results indicate that EHEC enhances the secretion of OmpT-loaded outer membrane vesicles in coordination with the activation of virulence genes during infection and blocks bacterial cell attack by LL-37. PMID: 28622430
