Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Does not seem to be a disulfide isomerase. Plays an important role in the processing of secretory proteins within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), possibly by participating in the folding of proteins in the ER.
Gene References into Functions
  1. ERp29 was first identified as a BPA-binding protein but is not involved in the T3 response of GH3 cells PMID: 24512454
  2. ERp29 can improve locomotor function by promoting neuronal survival and axonal regeneration in spinal cord transection rats via caspase and Erk signal pathway. PMID: 24794144
  3. Identification of ERp29, an endoplasmic reticulum lumenal protein, as a new member of the thyroglobulin folding complex PMID: 11884402
  4. Expression and tissue distribution of ERp29 [review] PMID: 12362325
  5. This study establishes ERp29 as a general ER marker for brain cells and provides a stimulating clue about ERp29's enigmatic function. PMID: 15281078
  6. Results distinguish ERp29 biophysically from its peers in the ER including Windbeutel, endorsing our postulate that ERp29 adds a distinct type of folding activity to the ER machinery. PMID: 15572350
  7. ERp29 assists in protein folding as well as in the secretion of the secretory/plasma membrane proteins under close co-operation with other ER chaperones and the ER stress signaler, PERK. PMID: 15865205
  8. Transient overexpression of Erp29 resulted in twofold enhancement of thyroglobulin secretion PMID: 16380091
  9. dimerization of ERp29 is crucial for its protein unfolding function, dimerization of a ERP29 protein acts to regulate its diverse endoplasmic reticulum activities. PMID: 17267685
  10. mutants of the D-domain of ERp29 prevent transport of a substrate protein (Pipe) in a manner consistent with the presence of a discrete, conserved peptide binding site in the D-domain PMID: 17296603
  11. lactating mammary glands were expressing ERp29 while the resting glands did not PMID: 18395818
  12. This supports a new role for ERp29 as a chaperone that helps stabilize monomeric Cx43 to enable oligomerization to occur in the Golgi apparatus. PMID: 19321666
