Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Promotes spermatogenesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Orchestrated Egr1 and Pitx1 activities depending on specific central and peripheral regulatory inputs could be responsible for physiologically variable Lhb gene promoter activation in vivo. PMID: 25258388
  2. GnRH stimulates AMPK, and AMPK inhibition suppresses GnRH-stimulated LHbeta transcription. PMID: 23518923
  3. data suggest that the molecular decision for LHbeta subunit to enter the regulated secretory pathway is a pre-Golgi event controlled by the C-terminal heptapeptide. PMID: 23734233
  4. increased LH concentration induces production of incomplete LHR transcripts in hippocampal cells and decreases immature LHR at the protein level PMID: 23678542
  5. Data suggest that LH beta subunit expression (and FSH beta subunit expression) is regulated by DUSP1 expression (specifically in response to high-frequency GnRH pulses); this effect may occur in association with MAPK3/1 phosphorylation. PMID: 21228211
  6. Complex interactions between Ahr and Esr alter Prl and luteinizing hormone (LH) synthesis by direct actions in lactotropes and gonadotropes. PMID: 21187122
  7. LHbeta promoter activity is further regulated by the orphan nuclear receptors, chicken ovalbumin upstream promoter-transcription factors (COUP-TFI and COUP-TFII). PMID: 20797425
  8. data suggest that LHbeta G1502A polymorphism may be involved in the predisposition to infertility and minimal/mild endometriosis-associated infertility, although endometriosis might be only a coincidental finding along with infertility. PMID: 20430510
  9. PACAP may be released from the anterior pituitary cells in a concentration which would be able to influence LH release not only in vitro but under in vivo conditions as well. PMID: 12409218
  10. These results suggest that GnRH directly regulates LH secretion as well as LHbeta-subunit synthesis, and that LH2 cells are a useful model for the study of LH secretion induced by several secretagogues. PMID: 12940464
  11. androgens acting directly on the pituitary increase FSH-beta and decrease LH-beta transcription PMID: 14512439
  12. identify a second functional Pitx1 region spanning positions -73 to -52 in the LHbeta gene promoter PMID: 16087728
  13. JNK regulates both LHbeta and FSHbeta transcription in a differential manner. PMID: 17932215
  14. LHbeta, FSHbeta and the common alpha-subunit mRNA's were detected in intact follicles, theca cells, corpora lutea and in meiotically competent and incompetent oocytes. PMID: 18248883
  15. the carboxyl-terminal sequence in the lutropin beta subunit contributes to the sorting of lutropin to the regulated pathway PMID: 18292086
  16. In the 14-day-old rat pituitary, the majority of GHRH target cells are cells expressing LH beta mRNA alone or in combination with GH and/or POMC mRNA. PMID: 18363807
  17. Results demonstrate that degradation via the proteasome is vital to GnRH-stimulated LHbeta expression, and this occurs in part by allowing proper transcription factor associations with the LHbeta promoter. PMID: 19095772
  18. Lhb gene transcription in rat pituitary requires GnRH-induced early growth response 1 gene expression, which is mediated by MAPK8/9 and MAPK1/3. PMID: 19710510
