Description

CDX2 is a homeobox transcription factor that plays a fundamental role in intestinal development, differentiation, and maintenance of the intestinal epithelial phenotype throughout life. In cancer research, CDX2 has emerged as a critical marker for colorectal adenocarcinoma and serves as an important diagnostic tool for identifying tumors of intestinal origin. Its expression patterns also provide valuable insights into cellular differentiation states and have implications for understanding metastatic disease.

This recombinant monoclonal antibody, clone 8A9, offers the reproducibility and consistency that demanding research applications require. The observed band size of 38 kDa, slightly higher than the predicted 34 kDa molecular weight, likely reflects post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation, which is known to regulate CDX2 activity. Flow cytometry validation using HT-29 cells confirms reliable intracellular detection with clear separation from isotype control, with recommended dilutions ranging from 1:50 to 1:200.
