Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Component of the endoplasmic reticulum quality control (ERQC) system also called ER-associated degradation (ERAD) involved in ubiquitin-dependent degradation of misfolded endoplasmic reticulum proteins. Binds to ubiquilins and this interaction is required for efficient degradation of CD3D via the ERAD pathway.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Herp is a newly identified huntingtin-interacting protein that is able to reduce the cytotoxicity of mutant huntingtin by inhibiting its aggregation and promoting its degradation. PMID: 29430620
  2. Herpud1 is necessary for adequate insulin-induced glucose uptake due to its role in Ca(2+)/calcineurin regulation in L6 myotubes. PMID: 29486284
  3. HERP plays an important role in the regulation of host innate immunity in response to ER stress during the infection of RNA viruses. PMID: 28954889
  4. Herp may regulate the cell cycle and hormone secretions in mouse granulosa cells PMID: 26781490
  5. Herp lentiviral shRNA vectors had been successfully constructed; knockdown Herp inhibited ER stress and had a different effect on inflammatory responses in RAW 264.7 macrophages depending on whether they were exposed to tunicamycin or thapsigargin PMID: 26782403
  6. Herp localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum-derived quality control compartment (ERQC) and recruits HRD1, which targets to endoplasmic reticulum associated degradation the substrate presented by the OS-9 lectin at the ERQC. PMID: 24478453
  7. A deficiency of Herp, an endoplasmic reticulum stress protein, suppresses atherosclerosis in ApoE knockout mice by attenuating inflammatory responses. PMID: 24204574
  8. Data conclude that Herpud1 regulates insulin secretion via control of Nnt expression. PMID: 23620059
  9. Derlin-1 deficiency is embryonic lethal, Derlin-3 deficiency appears normal, and Herp deficiency is intolerant to glucose load and ischemia in mice PMID: 22479592
  10. upregulation by Wnt-1 PMID: 12153396
  11. Herp represents a second target, in addition to CHOP, that is dually regulated by both the shared and the ER stress-specific branches during unfolded protein activation PMID: 14742429
  12. Herp is in a complex with ubiquitinated proteins and with the 26S proteasome, suggesting that it plays a role in linking substrates with the proteasome. PMID: 18042451
