Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

CCL23 (MPIF-1) plays a dual role in myeloid progenitor regulation and chemotactic recruitment, making it a valuable tool for dissecting innate immune signaling networks. This tag-free recombinant human CCL23 (residues 22–120) encompasses the mature protein sequence and demonstrates confirmed chemotactic activity on human T-lymphocytes at 10–50 ng/ml, supporting use in Transwell migration assays, GPCR-mediated signaling studies involving MAPK and NF-κB pathways, and functional screening during antibody development campaigns. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound cytokine-dependent readouts in primary immune cell cultures, providing a suitable basis for in vivo inflammation models and sensitive cell-based activation or differentiation assays. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, also satisfies the criteria typical for use as a reference standard in chemokine detection ELISAs and Western blot positive controls.

Shows chemotactic activity for monocytes, resting T-lymphocytes, and neutrophils, but not for activated lymphocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells in colony formation assays. This protein can bind heparin. Binds CCR1. CCL23(19-99), CCL23(22-99), CCL23(27-99), CCL23(30-99) are more potent chemoattractants than the small-inducible cytokine A23.
