Description

The A27L polyclonal antibody is produced by immunizing a rabbit with the recombinant Variola virus A27L protein (1-194aa). Afterward, the A27L antibody is collected from the rabbit serum and subjected to purification using protein G. This specific A27L antibody is well-suited for detecting the A27L protein of Variola virus in ELISA and WB applications.

The Variola virus A27L protein mainly functions to facilitate viral entry into host cells. The A27L protein is involved in the formation of the extracellular enveloped virus (EEV), which is an important step in the viral life cycle. The A27L protein helps in the wrapping of the virus with host cell membranes, allowing it to evade the immune system and spread to other cells.
