Detection Range: The 0.156–10 ng/mL range spans from baseline circulating IL-2 levels through the elevated concentrations seen in mitogen-stimulated PBMC supernatants and inflamed tissue homogenates. Most activated bovine lymphocyte cultures produce IL-2 within this window, minimizing the need for sample dilution or concentration steps.
Sensitivity: At 0.078 ng/mL, the kit detects IL-2 in unstimulated or weakly stimulated samples where secretion is minimal, such as early post-vaccination time points or naïve control conditions that still require quantifiable baseline values.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates enables paired systemic and local immune profiling — for example, comparing circulating IL-2 with mammary gland or lymph node tissue levels during infectious challenge studies.
