To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human PDGF-BB in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.
The recovery of human PDGF-BB spiked to levels throughout the range of the assay in various matrices was evaluated. Samples were diluted prior to assay as directed in the Sample Preparation section.
These standard curves are provided for demonstration only. A standard curve should be generated for each set of samples assayed.
Platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) is a potent mitogenic factor that plays key roles in cellular proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis. As a member of the PDGF family, PDGF-BB functions through binding to PDGF receptors and activating downstream signaling cascades that regulate wound healing, tissue repair, and vascular development. This growth factor is particularly important in mesenchymal cell biology. Researchers have studied its involvement in various pathological conditions including atherosclerosis, fibrosis, and cancer progression.
The Human Platelet-Derived Growth Factor-BB ELISA kit (CSB-E08923h) uses a quantitative sandwich measurement principle for detecting PDGF-BB in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. This assay offers a detection range of 31.25 pg/mL to 2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 7.81 pg/mL. The protocol requires 50-100 μL sample volume and can be completed within 1-5 hours. Detection is performed at 450 nm wavelength.
