Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse IL-13 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This kit provides quantitative measurement of interleukin-13 (IL-13) in mouse samples, supporting research into type 2 immune responses, allergic inflammation, and tissue remodeling. Because IL-13 is often produced at low picomolar concentrations by Th2 cells, ILC2s, and mast cells — and its levels can vary dramatically between baseline and allergen-challenged conditions — selecting an appropriately calibrated assay is critical.
Detection Range: The 7.8–500 pg/mL range spans from near-baseline IL-13 levels in naïve mouse serum to the elevated concentrations observed in bronchoalveolar lavage and plasma during allergic airway inflammation or helminth infection models. Most samples from challenged mice can be measured without dilution, though lung homogenates from acute inflammation models may require titration.
Sensitivity: At 3.9 pg/mL, the assay detects IL-13 in unstimulated splenocyte supernatants and serum from naïve animals, where this cytokine is characteristically scarce.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and tissue homogenates enables researchers to correlate systemic IL-13 levels with local tissue production and ex vivo Th2 or ILC2 restimulation outputs within a single experimental framework.
Assay Efficiency: The 50–100 µL sample volume accommodates limited-volume specimens such as mouse BAL fluid or sorted cell supernatants, while the 1–5 hour protocol supports same-day results from time-course experiments.
This kit is well-suited for studies of allergic asthma, fibrotic disease, and anti-helminth immunity.
