Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse sIgA in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

Secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) represents the predominant antibody class in mucosal secretions, serving as the first line of immune defense at mucosal surfaces including the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital tracts. Plasma cells in mucosal tissues produce this dimeric immunoglobulin, which is then transported across epithelial barriers through the polymeric immunoglobulin receptor. During transport, it acquires a secretory component that enhances its stability and function. sIgA plays essential roles in pathogen neutralization, immune exclusion, and maintaining mucosal homeostasis. These properties make it an important biomarker for mucosal immunity research and disease studies.

The Mouse secretory immunoglobulin A ELISA Kit (CSB-E08413m) uses a quantitative sandwich assay principle for measuring sIgA levels in mouse samples. This kit works with multiple sample types including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. The detection range spans 15.6-1000 ng/mL with sensitivity of 3.9 ng/mL. The assay requires 50-100 μL sample volume, operates with detection at 450 nm wavelength, and can be completed within 1-5 hours.
