Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of rat GROα/CXCL1/MGSA in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This kit provides quantitative measurement of CXCL1 (GRO/KC) in rat samples, supporting immunology research focused on neutrophil-driven inflammation and innate immune signaling. Because CXCL1 levels can shift rapidly and dramatically between baseline and inflammatory states, researchers need an assay that captures both constitutive and induced expression across diverse experimental models.
Detection Range: The 7.8–500 pg/mL range spans the concentrations typically observed for rat CXCL1, from low baseline levels in healthy serum to the elevated concentrations found in plasma and tissue homogenates during acute inflammation or ischemia-reperfusion injury. Most samples from LPS-challenged or injury models can be measured directly, though highly inflamed tissue homogenates may require dilution.
Sensitivity: At 3.9 pg/mL, the assay detects CXCL1 in unstimulated cell culture supernates and baseline serum, where concentrations often fall in the low picogram range — critical for establishing pre-inflammatory reference points in longitudinal studies.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, and tissue homogenates enables researchers to correlate circulating CXCL1 with local tissue production and in vitro neutrophil chemotaxis experiments within a single study.
Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and 50–100 µL sample volume accommodate small-volume rat plasma draws and primary cell-conditioned media, preserving precious samples from repeated-measures designs.
This kit is well suited for studies of acute lung injury, sterile peritonitis, and cerebral ischemia models in rats.
