Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

FGF4 plays a central role in embryonic development and tissue regeneration by activating FGFR signaling cascades that govern cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. This recombinant protein, expressed in mammalian cells to preserve native post-translational modifications, spans the full mature form (aa 31–206) and demonstrates robust mitogenic activity with an ED50 of 0.25–1 ng/mL in NIH3T3 fibroblast proliferation assays, providing a quantitative benchmark for dose-response studies. The validated potency supports its use in stem cell differentiation protocols—including osteogenic and neuronal lineage commitment—as well as in receptor-ligand binding assays (ELISA, SPR) and angiogenesis models where precise FGFR engagement is critical. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels ≤10 EU/mg satisfy the quality criteria typical for cell-based functional assays and in vivo regenerative medicine experiments.
