  • IHC image of CSB-PA013091NA01HU diluted at 1:400 and staining in paraffin-embedded human liver cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

  • Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with CSB-PA013091NA01HU at 1:133, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).

Target Background

Function
Endocytic receptor involved in endocytosis and in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. Required for early embryonic development. Involved in cellular lipid homeostasis. Involved in the plasma clearance of chylomicron remnants and activated LRPAP1 (alpha 2-macroglobulin), as well as the local metabolism of complexes between plasminogen activators and their endogenous inhibitors. Acts as an LRPAP1 alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor. Acts as TAU/MAPT receptor and controls the endocytosis of TAU/MAPT as well as its subsequent spread. May modulate cellular events, such as APP metabolism, kinase-dependent intracellular signaling, neuronal calcium signaling as well as neurotransmission.; (Microbial infection) Functions as a receptor for Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A.

  2. The results presented in this study raise the hypothesis that higher production of LRP1 protein may be associated with higher endocytosis of upregulated transporter proteins at the cell surface, and hence, increased dox and emodin accumulation and growth inhibition. If so, elevation of LRP1 expression may be a useful target for interventions to promote the efficacy of these and other anticancer drugs. PMID: 29644529
