Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Form Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
and FAQs
Protein FAQs
Storage Condition Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Endothelins are endothelium-derived vasoconstrictor peptides. Probable ligand for G-protein coupled receptors EDNRA and EDNRB which activates PTK2B, BCAR1, BCAR3 and, GTPases RAP1 and RHOA cascade in glomerular mesangial cells.
Gene References into Functions
  1. These findings suggest that elevated serum big ET-1 could be used as a diagnostic marker for canine hemangiosarcoma . PMID: 25920760
  2. This study showed that canine osteosarcoma cells express endothelin-1 and functional endothelin A receptors; increases in bone alkaline phosphatase activity are associated with osteoblastic OS lesions. PMID: 26426813
  3. There was a progressive increase in ET-1 and ETAR expression from benign tumour to grade 1 and grade 2 malignant mammary tumours with a decrease of expression in grade 3 carcinomas. Co-localization of ET-1 and ETAR was observed in benign mammary tumours. PMID: 25816929
  4. These findings point to the potential of serum big ET-1 as a clinical marker for cardiopulmonary and neoplastic diseases in dogs. PMID: 24447631
  5. Renal denervation substantially decreased BP and also significantly decreased the plasma levels of renin-angiotensin system and ET-1. PMID: 24496516
  6. These results showed that endothelin-1 and endothelin receptor A are overexpressed in canine ovarian tumours, suggesting a potential role of these two molecules in canine ovarian carcinogenesis. PMID: 20210880
  7. ET-1 production in macrophage cell line DH82 was increased in response to stimulation with intact and viable gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. PMID: 20207425
  8. The results showed that there was an interaction between ET-1 and NO in a VILI (ventilator-induced lung injury )model and changing the balance of ET-1 and NO levels might contribute to the pathophysiologic process of VILI. PMID: 20497708
  9. Report endothelin levels in experimental diabetes combined with cardiac hypertrophy. PMID: 15838277
  10. Report changes in endothelin-1 gene expression during myocardial ischemia and reperfusion. PMID: 15838278
  11. Intrapericardial adenine nucleosides induce elevation of endothelin-1 concentration in the pericardial space of the dog heart. PMID: 15838286
  12. The results confirm that intrapericardial catecholamines exert significant hemodynamic effects and modulate ET-1 and adenosine release from the heart. PMID: 15838288
  13. Report changes in endothelin-1/big endothelin-1 levels and action potential duration during myocardial ischemia-reperfusion in dogs with and without ventricular fibrillation. PMID: 15838324
  14. although ET(A) receptor-signaling is sensitized by induction of the metabolic syndrome, endothelin-mediated coronary vasoconstriction does not significantly contribute to coronary dysfunction at this early stage of prediabetes PMID: 16627363
  15. These results may potentially explain resting perfusion abnormalities or heterogeneity by clinical PET that may persist or only partially improve after adenosine stress perfusion imaging in the absence of myocardial scar and flow-limiting stenosis. PMID: 16951040
  16. Alterations in blood levels of endothelin-1, atrial natriuretic peptide, aldosterone, and norepinephrine in dogs with and without dilated cardiomyopathy are reported. PMID: 17338155
  17. Early pulmonary hypertension in heart failure is characterized by altered vasoreactivity and increased ET-1 and VEGF2 signalling. PMID: 17993509
  18. peripheral NO and ET-1 release modulates the cardiac contractility through myocardial ET-A receptor activation and mast cell degranulation. PMID: 18788466
  19. The use of Plasma atrial natriuretic peptide (proANP 31-67), B-type natriuretic peptide (Nt-proBNP) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) concentrations as disease markers in dogs with valvular heart disease is reported. PMID: 19585255
