Conjugate | Avi-tag Biotinylated E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag. |

This recombinant human Cardiotrophin-like cytokine factor 1 (CLCF1) is a semi-custom product. There are 5 expression system options: Yeast, E. coli, In Vivo Biotinylation in E. coli, Baculovirus, and Mammalian cell. Your requirements will be given top priority in determining the protein tags. For proteins within 800 aa, risk-free custom service is guaranteed. It means you will not be charged if the protein cannot be delivered.
CLCF1 is a member of the IL-6 family of cytokines [1][5]. CLCF regulates the acute-phase response to injury and infection [2]. CLCF1 has been identified as a potential circulating permeability factor in the development of primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) [3]. It forms a heterodimer complex with cytokine receptor-like factor 1 (CRLF1) [4].
The signaling of CLCF1 occurs through the gp130/Jak/STAT pathway, which is a common pathway for cytokines like IL-6, IL-11, LIF, OSM, and CNTF [6]. The LIF receptor β and gp130 complex is the receptor for CLCF1 and is also shared by other related cytokines [7]. CLCF1 is associated with various conditions, including Crisponi/cold-induced sweating syndrome (CS/CISS) [8]. Studies have shown that CLCF1 plays a role in promoting glioblastoma and is considered an unfavorable prognostic biomarker [4].
