Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description

NCAM1 mediates homophilic and heterophilic cell–cell interactions critical for neural development, synaptic plasticity, and immune cell trafficking, making it a key target in neuroscience and oncology research. This recombinant fragment spans residues 20–718, encompassing the five immunoglobulin-like domains and two fibronectin type III repeats that govern binding specificity, and demonstrates robust antibody recognition with an EC50 of 0.89–1.02 ng/mL in functional ELISA. The low picomolar binding affinity supports its use in antibody development and validation workflows, where precise epitope mapping and affinity measurements are essential.
