Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

The recombinant Human S100A7A protein production in Yeast cells involves the integration of a DNA fragment encoding the Human S100A7A protein (2-101aa) into a plasmid vector, which is then introduced into Yeast cells. Following screening, positive cells are cultured and induced to synthesize the S100A7A protein. A N-terminal 6xHis tag is attached to the protein. Cell lysis is carried out to harvest the recombinant Human S100A7A protein, which is purified through affinity purification and then analyzed using SDS-PAGE and subsequent staining of the gel with Coomassie Brilliant Blue. The purity of the resulting recombinant Human S100A7A protein reaches over 90%.

Target Background

Function
May be involved in epidermal differentiation and inflammation and might therefore be important for the pathogenesis of psoriasis and other diseases.
Gene References into Functions
  1. S100A15 retains the ability to coordinate zinc through incorporation of an exogenous ligand resulting in a unique zinc-binding site among S100 proteins. PMID: 22747601
  2. Molecular cloning and characterization of alternatively spliced S100A15 isoforms from psoriatic skin. PMID: 12923069
  3. The S100A15 protein has been expressed & purified to homogeneity in 2 crystal forms. Crystals of form I are triclinic. Crystals of form II are monoclinic & have a solvent content of 51.8%, corresponding to the presence of 1 monomer in the asymmetric unit. PMID: 16682778
  4. Overexpression of hS100A15 in chronic inflammatory skin diseases and regulation by inflammatory cytokines and calcium suggest that hS100A15 is involved in Th1-associated epithelial responses and epidermal maturation in normal and diseased human skin PMID: 17620096
  5. E. coli modulates S100A15 and IL-8 expression of keratinocytes by recognition through TLR4. PMID: 17625598
  6. study defines RAGE (receptor for advanced glycation end products) as the hS100A7 receptor, whereas hS100A15 functions through a Gi protein-coupled receptor PMID: 18606705
