The production of this Recombinant Human SDHA protein required the insertion of a DNA fragment (SDHA, 44-293aa) into an expression vector and the transferral of this vector into E.coli cells (the step of transformation). The cells were then cultured and induced to express the SDHA protein. This recombinant protein was fused with N-terminal GST tag. Its purity is 90%+ determined by SDS-PAGE.
SDHA(also called SDH2 or SDHF) is a gene encoding a protein called succinate dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] flavoprotein subunit, mitochondrial (SDHA) in human. SDHA is also known as flavoprotein subunit of complex II or Fp and belongs to FAD-dependent oxidoreductase 2 family. The protein encoded by SDHA gene is a major catalytic subunit of succinate-ubiquinone oxidoreductase, which is a complex involved in the mitochondrial respiratory chain. In humans, missense mutations in the SDHA gene are associated with severe diseasees, such as Leigh syndrome and paraganglioma tumors.

Please could you let me know whether you recombinant human SDH enzyme has “enzymic activity” in vitro.
If so, do you have any data to show for this activity?
Have you received any feedback from other customers regarding activity?
Thank you
