Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag-Free
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form Lyophilized powder
Buffer before Lyophilization Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

and FAQs
Protein FAQs
Storage Condition Store at -20°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Data

Function Multi-functional protein which regulates not only caspases and apoptosis, but also modulates inflammatory signaling and immunity, mitogenic kinase signaling, and cell proliferation, as well as cell invasion and metastasis. Acts as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase regulating NF-kappa-B signaling and regulates both canonical and non-canonical NF-kappa-B signaling by acting in opposite directions
Gene References into Functions
  1. Drugs targeting XIAP and cIAP1/2 may be effective for osteosarcoma patients whose tumors express abundant RIPK1 and contain high levels of TNFalpha. PMID: 27129149
  2. Results identify IGF2BP1 as a critical translational regulator of cIAP1-mediated apoptotic resistance in rhabdomyosarcoma. PMID: 24704827
  3. Identify xIAP and cIAP1 as molecular targets of ceramide and show ceramide analog LCL85 is an effective sensitizer in overcoming resistance of metastatic colon and breast cancers to apoptosis induction to suppress metastasis in vivo. PMID: 24422988
  4. NFATc1 mRNA expression is negatively regulated by inhibitor of apoptosis protein 2 during osteoclastogenesis. PMID: 23126497
  5. cIAP1 expression protects macrophages from Rip1-dependent necroptotic cell death and facilitates pathogen control. PMID: 22576661
  6. cIAP1 plays a critical role in beta-cell survival under endoplasmic reticulum stress: by promoting ubiquitination and degradation of C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) PMID: 22815481
  7. Deficiency in cIAP1 (encoded by Birc2) or cIAP2 (Birc3) impaired caspase-1 activation after spontaneous or agonist-induced inflammasome assembly. PMID: 22195745
  8. fundamental role for cIAP1/cIAP2 in regulating B-cell survival and responsiveness PMID: 21300983
  9. These findings identify critical role of cIAP1, cIAP2 and Yap1 co-expression in mammary carcinogenesis PMID: 20676140
  10. Murine IAP1 is alternatively spliced at intron 6-7, generating protein isoforms with significantly different functional properties compared to the full-length mIAP1, in vitro. PMID: 16905118
  11. Data show that apoptosis caused by an IAP antagonist compound is blocked by the caspase 8 inhibitor crmA and that IAP antagonists activate NF-kappaB signaling via inhibtion of cIAP1. PMID: 18022363
  12. Elevation of c-IAP1 levels at a posttranscriptional step was detectable in MCF13 MLV-induced thymic lymphomas and chronically infected mink epithelial cells. PMID: 18378896
  13. Lysosomal degradation of cIAP1-TRAF2 by TWEAK/FN14 therefore critically alters the balance of life/death signals emanating from TNF-R1 in immortalized cells. PMID: 18606850
  14. c-IAP1 and c-IAP2 are required for TNFalpha-stimulated RIP1 ubiquitination and NF-kappaB activation. PMID: 18621737

  16. MMP13 expression enhances osteosarcoma cell survival and Birc2 and Birc3 enhance cell survival but only in osteosarcoma cells with the chromosome 9A1 amplicon. The genes Birc2 and Birc3 are potential oncogenic drivers in the chromosome 9A1 amplicon. PMID: 19276372
  17. cIAP1 and cIAP2 are E3 ubiquitin ligases that are required for receptor-interacting protein 2 ubiquitination and for nucleotide-binding and oligomerization signaling. PMID: 19464198
  18. The autoubiquitination of c-IAP1 is blocked upon coexpression with TNF receptor-associated factor (TRAF) 2, and this is achieved by inhibition of the E3 ubiquitin ligase activity intrinsic to the RING of c-IAP1. PMID: 19506082
  19. TRAF2 has anti-apoptotic signaling roles in addition to promoting NF-kappaB signaling and that efficient activation of NF-kappaB by TNFR1 requires the recruitment of cIAP1/2 by TRAF2. PMID: 19815541
