Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Transcriptional activator that may play a role in the unfolded protein response of the testis. Proposed to be involved in spermiogenesis. May be involved in regulating the maturation of sperm head nuclei. Alternatively proposed to be a paternally delivered transcription factor that may function in early zygotic gene activation. Increases the binding of CREM isoform Tau with CRE. The CREM isoform Tau-CREB3L4 heterodimer functions through CRE but not through UPRE and may recruit HIRA to CRE to regulate histone exchange.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Tisp40 aggravates tubular cells apoptosis in renal ischemia reperfusion injury. PMID: 28778797
  2. these findings suggest that Tisp40 plays a critical role in the TGF-beta/ Smads pathway involved in this process. Hence, Tisp40 could be a useful therapeutic target in the fight against renal tubulointerstitial fibrosis PMID: 28618421
  3. Creb3l4 is an essential negative regulator of adipogenesis. PMID: 25412305
  4. TISP40 functions by binding to the unfolded protein response element via the Rip pathway. PMID: 15938716
  5. Creb3l4 plays a role in male germ cell development PMID: 16107712
  6. Tisp40 and CREM bind to the Tisp40 promoter in vivo PMID: 16595651
  7. we show that Atce1/Tisp40alpha is the major form of CREB3L4 in mouse testis. These findings suggest that testis-specific isoforms of Creb3l4 could play an important role in spermatid differentiation. PMID: 16728718
  8. Expression of full-length ATCE1 in various cell lines revealed ER and Golgi localization whereas truncation of the C-terminus allowed entrance into the nucleus. A speculation that ATCE1 might be paternally delivered to newly formed zygote is discussed. PMID: 16925989
  9. Disruption of TISP40 caused ER stress and activation of caspase 12 but not caspase 9, leading to apoptosis of meiotic/postmeiotic germ cells. PMID: 16999736

Subcellular Location
Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein. Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, acrosome inner membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein. Note=According to PubMed:16925989 is not observed within nuclei of haploid spermatids at any spermiogenic stage.; [Processed cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 3-like protein 4]: Nucleus. Note=Under ER stress the cleaved N-terminal cytoplasmic domain translocates into the nucleus.
Protein Families
BZIP family, ATF subfamily
Tissue Specificity
Predominantly expressed at high levels in testis with isoform 2 being the predominant isoform. Specifically expressed in postmeiotic spermatids and accumulates in the mid/late stage (at protein level). Ubiquitously expressed at low levels.
