Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description

Kit receptor signaling drives proliferation and survival in hematopoietic stem cells and mast cell lineages, making it a central target in leukemia and gastrointestinal stromal tumor research. This mammalian-expressed construct spans residues 25–519 of isoform 2, capturing the extracellular ligand-binding domain in a conformation that binds immobilized mouse stem cell factor with an EC50 of 15.57–20.95 ng/mL in functional ELISA, providing quantitative evidence of native receptor-ligand interaction. The measured affinity supports use in competitive inhibition assays to screen blocking antibodies, in epitope mapping studies for therapeutic antibody development, and as a positive control in SPR or BLI experiments characterizing Kit-targeted biologics. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin below 1.0 EU/μg align with standards expected in cell-based assays and in vitro kinase inhibitor screening platforms.
