KIT

KIT is a receptor tyrosine kinase called Kinase Insert Domain Receptor (KIR), which is expressed in a variety of cell types, including stem cells and haematopoietic cells. It is expressed in a variety of cell types, including stem cells and haematopoietic cells, and its mechanism of action promotes cell proliferation, differentiation and survival by activating downstream signalling pathways through binding to the ligand stem cell factor (SCF), which is important for the maintenance of tissue homeostasis, wound healing, and immune responses. Abnormal KIT expression or dysfunction has been associated with certain types of cancer, such as gastrointestinal mesenchymal stromal tumour (GIST) and certain leukaemias.
